Wendy Clark, of Bannister green, Felsted, sent in this photo – she was one of the lucky few who got to capture the magnificent Aurora Borealis on Thursday evening.
The 49-year-old rushed outside with her camera after seeing on Twitter that the spectacular display – better known as the Northern Lights – that had hit parts of the south of England.
I was quite chuffed because I have always wanted to see them,” she said. “There was a tear in my eye, it was quite emotional.
“This tends to happen every once in 20 to 30 years, so it is very rare.”
