School opens its doors as a temporary training base for NHS paramedics

Felsted School has offered paramedics their school as a temporary training base, to support the NHS during the Covid-19 pandemic.

East of England Ambulance staff can use the school’s accommodation and facilities during the lockdown.

Pupils also sent Easter eggs and cards to NHS workers to keep spirits high.

Headmaster Chris Townsend said: “We’re delighted that our staff have been so proactive in supporting the NHS during a period of national emergency. We wanted to do our bit for the cause, and have no doubt that other schools will be doing similar things if they can. We can only beat this by working together.”
