Felsted Primary School pupils went to class dressed as fruit and vegetables for a charity fundraisers.
As part of the harvest festival, the youngsters donned colourful clothing – and in some cases hair – to raise money for Keyhole Gardens, a charity which helps underprivileged communities build their own small scale vegetable plot, and to buy gifts for elderly people in the village.
Around 27 older residents will be visiting the school today (Thursday) to receive their presents and watch the pupils perform at the harvest festival.
There will be plenty of singing, along with a presentation about the work of Keyhole Gardens. The school’s guests will also be treated to a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.
The fundraising day helped raise £188 for both causes.
