Children at Felsted Primary School have green fingers after their seedlings began to harvest this week.
The Vegetable Gardening Club has so far collected radishes and lettuce this year, with the children taking them home to eat and some of the produce being used in the school’s kitchen by the catering staff to make the children’s salads.
The amateur gardeners have been working on the raised beds since springtime, watering and weeding them as well as learning about healthy eating and how easy it is to grow your own produce.
