A FELSTED author is running a programme for budding writers after seeing his latest book go on sale.

Paul Bennett's fifth book, Catalyst - which is for the crime thriller audience - was published last week.

Now he is holding a series of 'How to Write a Novel' workshops this autumn, which runs for two hours on a Thursday evening for four weeks.

He will give first hand advice about how to write a novel to any wannabe writers, including helpful information about creating a plot and characters.

Crime series writer Mr Bennett said that his latest book proved to be a change.

"My previous books were all written in the first person; Catalyst is written in the third person, which is a real technical difference," he said.

"It is a completely separate book from my previous novels, so there had to be new characters and new interests."

Catalyst is a tale of murder, blackmail and kidnapping and follows the story a petrochemicals giant which is set to become number one in the world, by producing an enzyme which converts plastic into fertiliser.
