Dunmow band 501 - who have attracted attention from some names including the prodigy's Liam Howlett - celebrated their first anniversary last Saturday with a live performance.
The six performers and two songwriters reformed their band last August and wanted to mark the special occasion with a live event.
Lead guitarist Jonny Duncan, base player Damien Hunt, drummer William Butterfield, percussionist Austin Kempster, keyboardist Dave Whymark and lead sing Levi Wilson with his two songwriter brothers John and Robert - are all aged between 20 to 37 years old and
Manager and songwriter Robert Wilson, who runs and owns Lennons bar in Dunmow said: "We sent our CD out to lots of places and have had some really positive feedback from people, including Liam Howlett from the Prodigy.
Liam liked our material so much, that he was kind enough to give us his phone number and said he would help us anyway he can.
Lead guitarist Jonny Duncan said: "We were thrilled with the turnout and reaction on Saturday and would really like to thank everyone who came to support us."
The group have also recorded their own 40-minute CD containing eight original songs, which is available from Lennon's bar priced at £5. The 501 band will be next playing at bar in October.
