A FAMILY has been left homeless after a fire savaged their home in Duton Hill.
Dunmow firefighters were called to Radleys Hill in the early hours of Wednesday morning (December 3) after a blaze was reported in the front lounge area of the house.
Two crews attended the scene, but took over one hour to extinguish the fire, leaving the family home in tatters.
A family, as yet unnamed, of two adults and two children were made homeless as a result with the father understood to be suffering from smoke inhalation.
An Essex fire and rescue spokesman said: "The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and we will be carrying out an investigation.
