Everybody had their toes tapping at the mayor’s dinner and dance.
The event, held to raise money for mayor Phil Milne’s chosen charities of the year, was attended by people from Brugge, Romford, Takeley, Braintree, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow, Hertford, Saffron Walden and all corners of Great Dunmow on Saturday, October 26.
The party guests enjoyed a meal from Walkers Catering before the Brian Williamson band got toes tapping and lots of dancers on the floor.
Dunmow town crier Richard Harris kept everyone in order and acted as auctioneer for the evening. Cllr Milne said: “It was an excellent evening and was very well attended. We had some great raffle prizes and raised lots of funds.
“Mayoress June Milne and I are extremely grateful for everyone’s support for our chosen charities, which are Dunmow and District Stroke Group and local pre-school play groups.”
