THE winner of a charity eBay competition to ‘win your height in pizza’ has been announced.
Helen Saywell from Chelmsford won the online auction, which was part of Domino’s Pizza support for ITV’s 2012 Text Santa charity appeal.
The competition, which was promoted on itv.com and also on social media, saw the winning bid from Helen come in at £245. Like all Text Santa donations, the money raised will go towards a number of charities - Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Carers UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Together for Short Lives and Whizz-Kidz.
Helen, who is 5ft 5ins, collected her pizza vouchers from franchisee Paul Ashurst at the Domino’s Chelmsford Central store. Danny Domino, the official Domino’s mascot, was on hand to help Helen celebrate her win.
Helen said: “I was thrilled to win my height in pizza and it was so much fun visiting my local store and being ‘measured’ for my prize! I can’t wait to start sharing all this pizza with my family and friends.”
