Essex rotary club wants new members
A COMMUNITY group has welcomed two new members and has also paid tribute to its female counterparts for notching up 60 years of service.
The charity-supporting Dunmow Rotary Club welcomed Ian Maylin and David Burnett into the ranks last week as it looks to increase its membership.
Olga Burrell, president of the Inner Wheel – a female version of rotary, popped in to share her experiences and also take congratulations for the Inner Wheel’s 60th anniversary this year.
Mrs Burrell forms a close bond between the groups as her late husband Geoff was a former president of the rotary.
Current president Peter Childs said he was “encouraged” at the growth and told members he was looking forward to more joining in the future.
