POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a man at the V festival.
A 50-year-old victim from Chelmsford was punched in the face after asking a man to stop bothering a group of girls.
According to police reports the victim fell to the floor and the suspect jumped on the man's left leg breaking it in two places.
The incident took place between 4pm and 8pm on Sunday August 23 in the Arena stage tent.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30s of large build with short brown hair and a tanned complexion.
However, the victim only reported the incident to police on Friday September 18.
