A FORMAL request has been submitted to Essex Highways authority for a speed reduction limit on the B184 north of High Roding.
Essex County councillor for Dunmow Susan Barker has asked for a reduction from the end of the 40mph limit north of the village from the national 60mph to 50mph.
A further request has also been made that the limit is then reduced to 30 mph from before Trutons Cottage to extend to the commencement of the current 30mph limit in Ongar Road.
Cllr Barker, who is also Uttlesford district councillor for The Rodings, said: “I have received and reviewed the accident statistics for this stretch of road for the last 10 years and propose that these measures, and perhaps further speed calming measures, should be taken in the interests of road safety.”
