Essex firefighters save two from car crash

FIREFIGHTERS from Dunmow and Thaxted have freed two people after a car accident at midday today, Feb 21.

Crews were called at 12.06pm to the accident on Ongar Road in Great Duunmow in which two people were trapped in their car which has ended up on its side in a ditch next to the road. Only one vehicle was involved.

By 12.37pm crews had released both casualties, they used one set of hydraulic equipment to release them. They were left in the care of the ambulance service.

One of the passengers, an 18 year old male, was taken to Broomfield hospital with minor injuries.
