FIREFIGHTERS were called to a pub in Pleshey today (Wednesday) after reports of a blaze in the ground floor kitchen.
Two crews from Chelmsford were dispatched to the White Horse on The Street shortly before 12.30pm and had the fire under control within minutes.
An Essex fire and rescue team spokesman said: "The ground floor of the premises was heavily smoke logged. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used one hose to extinguish the fire by 12.48pm and then ventilated the pub using a specialist fan.
