A THREE-DAY dance competition has lit up a school in Great Dunmow.
Movers and shakers at The Helena Romanes School have been running an annual Choreographic Dance Competition for students since 1991, after it was first started by Jinny Huizar, a former Dance teacher at the school.
It is designed to encourage students to be creative, innovative and become team workers. Local professionals are invited to judge the event and give positive feed back to the students, which allows them to develop their current skills.
Head of Dance, Mrs Judd, said: "Our students have worked particularly hard creating their pieces for the event. As their teacher I'm incredibly proud of every one of them. They have shown commitment and enthusiasm.
