The mayor of Dunmow joined young artists last week to present an edible gift to the winner of an Easter colouring competition.

On Wednesday, Cllr Jonathan Cadwallader met with Wrens Preschool youngsters at the Co-operative Food store, where their artwork of is being displayed in the run-up to Easter.

The budding artists all received mini chocolate eggs courtesy of the White Street store, while winner Evie Robinson, 4, was presented with an adult-size Easter egg for her prize.

“I thoroughly applaud the Co-op’s initiative in providing this fun Easter competition for the children from the Wrens pre-school who enjoyed it greatly - their entries were quite delightful!,” Mayor Jonathan Cadwallader told the Reporter.

Sally George of Wrens Preschool added: “Many thanks to the Co-op for giving our children the opportunity to participate and making such a lovely display of their work in the shop.”
