FELSTED hosted over 170 children, aged four to 14, at its annual spring camps over the Easter school holidays with an exciting choice of courses.
Children from schools across East Anglia attended the cricket, swimming and musical theatre workshops, including students from Widford Lodge, Bishop’s Stortford College and Helena Romanes and from further afield such as Old Buckenham Hall and Barnadiston in Suffolk.
The cricket camps returned by popular demand and were led by Jason Gallian, director of cricket and an ex-England and Essex player, and Charlie Knightley, director of sport and Oxfordshire CCC. Some students were lucky enough to attend dedicated master class sessions with Mr Gallian, which included a one hour batting and bowling clinic.
The Swimming Clinic was a huge success with sessions for complete beginners through to improvers and those wanting to learn to dive. The Dance and Drama course culminated in a showcase of drama and musical pieces from West End musicals, current chart music and well known films and television shows, including a performance from the well-loved production Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Felsted will also be hosting camps throughout the summer holidays, further details of which can be found on their website felsted.org/courses or by calling the courses office on 01371 822634.
