Once they had solved the clues given on a sheet of paper and found the location of the letters, each child won a large Easter egg.

There was also a separate egg hunt for the smaller children with lots of small eggs hidden on the community centre playground.

The little ones were dispatched off to find as many as they could.

The day included an Easter bonnet competition. The winners were Poppy and Finlay with four runners up; Lexi, Lena, Lizzie and Renee.

Organiser, Ildi Sumeg, a mum and maths teacher, who has organised the event for the second year, with the help of local businesses who donated raffle prizes, said: “It all went well, we had more than 200 people taking part, including children and adults and it was a bigger event than last year.”
