Geography students from Dunmow have taken the classroom to Scotland.
The Year 12 students from Helena Romanes School travelled to the Isle of Arran where they studied the River Chalmadale, which flows through a glacial valley.
They also took a closer look at beach profiles, carried out land use surveys and visited the town of Black Waterfoot.
Caroline Reidy, joint head of geography, said: “Students worked tirelessly in the field and back in the classroom. They showed commitment and diligence with their work and were a credit to the school.”
