Members and volunteers of Dunmow and District Stroke Support Group celebrated the 20th anniversary of the founding of the group by singing “Happy Birthday” and enjoying a special birthday cake made by Sheena Pike.
With a celebration at the group’s usual meeting place, Banks Court, 29 members, carers, volunteers, supports and friends went on to a lunch at the Dunmow Day Centre. Phil Milne, chairman of the group said: “It was a lovely occasion and everyone had a great time. We want to say thank you to everyone who started the group and to all the helpers and supporters who have kept the group going over the years.”
