FUNDRAISERS have received awards and praise for their outstanding efforts in raising money for clean drinking water for children in Africa.
Members of the Dunmow Rotary Club have raised over 35,000 for PlayPumps and received a certificate from rotary district governor Ken Buck.
In addition, awards to John Bridges and Ian Terry were given for outstanding service in promoting the Rotary Foundation and its goal of world understanding and peace.
Dunmow Rotary is actively working to provide a sixth PlayPump providing clean plentiful water to another village in Africa.
PlayPumps are so called because they are a roundabout for children to play on which also acts as a traditional water pump brining up clean water from beneath the ground.
