This year’s Dunmow Christmas Market on Sunday, December 11, attracted people from across Essex and beyond – and organisers hope next year will be even bigger, taking up all the High Street and Angel Lane Square.
The event, which has been run for five years, is self-funding, with proceeds going to next year’s event.
Among the entertainers were dancers and young singers including The Beaux Beatz and 33RPM. There were stalls including food and drink and Christmas goods and gifts.
Jacky Rom, spokesman for the organisers, said: “It was a lovely, sunny day, all the shops were open and it was very successful. It was a very successful event with over 3,500 people attending. The market was packed all day.
“Santa met hundreds of children and he is looking forward to coming back next year when we hope the event will be even bigger and better.”
