TEACHERS have praised two students for sharing their recent experiences of the Auschwitz concentration camp with fellow pupils.
Tiffany Parradine and Conor Abbott, who both attend Helena Romanes School, visited the camp just outside of Krakow, Poland in February.
Last week the two Sixth Form history students gave a talk to fellow Sixth Formers, recalling their experiences in a special assembly. Tiffany, 17 and Conor, 16, also tailored their talk to younger pupils later in the day.
A school spokesman said: "Everyone was moved by the talk which was both informative and very interesting.
"The teachers are very pleased with the work they have both put in. They both should be proud."
The trip was organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust. Established in 1988 its aim is to educate young people from every background about the Holocaust and the important lessons to be learned for today. One of its achievements is ensuring that the Holocaust forms part of the National Curriculum for History.
