DUNMOW Town Council officially launched its new website this week to keep residents up to date with what is happening in their area.

The new site - www.greatdunmow-tc.gov.uk - is designed to help maintain communication between the public and the council on all ongoing projects, such as the new town square and the pond refurbishment processes currently underway.

It also contains contact details for all parish councillors, as well as council offices.

Town clerk, Owen Wilson, said: "An increasing number of people expect to access information through websites. The town council has recognised this need by providing a website about their services and activities. The responses so far have been very favourable."

The website also contains a detailed list of the parish council's responsibilities. A form is available to the public to fill in their responses to council-led activities, and to provide a forum for issues that residents would like to take up with councillors.
