DUNMOW Market Place will be closed to traffic as it plays host to a continental market on Saturday.
Professional traders from across the world will be wearing traditional costumes as they sell their wares.
The road closure has been allowed by authorities after the Dunmow Town Strategy Group and Dunmow Chamber of Trade worked together on the application.
John Murphy, chair of the DTSG, said: "We are delighted to be able to use the Market Place once again for its traditional purpose. We hope that this will just be the first of many more events in Dunmow."
The market will be on Saturday March 31 from 9am to 6pm. For more details check out www.traditionalmarket.co.uk
