Concrete blocks to be installed at Dunmow land to prevent travellers from returning

Travellers who pitched up at Dunmow last week have been moved on.

The group which took up residency in Woodside Way has now left – the second time in a month travellers set up at the site.

Uttlesford District Council has now arranged to concrete blocks at the access point to prevent them from returning.

A spokesman for the council added the blocks would be replaced with a more secure barrier, which will prevent future encampments.
