THE first concert for the new Season of Braintree Choral Society's calendar is to be on Saturday November 4.
The choir will perform two requiems at Christ Church, Braintree, one by Gabriel Fauré the other by John Rutter.
The soloists will be Isobel Harris and Simon Warne. Isobel attends Chelmsford County High School and Havering Music School where she has flute and singing lessons and has appeared on BBC Television with the RSCM Millennium Youth Choir.
Simon has performed with the choir before when they presented their April Concert at Chelmsford Cathedral.
The choir and soloists will be accompanied by a youthful orchestral ensemble and the conductor will be musical director Robert Poyser.
