CHAPTERHOUSE Theatre Company brought its production of Much Ado About Nothing to the Gardens of Easton Lodge on Friday.
Battling against the noise of the harvest being gathered in surrounding fields, the touring troop performed an enjoyable rendition of what is possibly one of William Shakespeare's best comedies.
Richard Main, producer, said: "One of the best things about touring open-air theatre is the unpredictability of everything around you."
Set in the immediate post First World War era, Simon Michael Morgan who played Benedick particularly shone according to spectators.

Musical accompaniments were mostly played on the guitar and these were well played by Dave Glaysher.
Chapterhouse Theatre Company is regarded as a highly acclaimed group of actors who always give a polished, professional performance.
