YOUNG members of a Barnston family have paid tribute to their aunt by hosting a coffee morning for charity.

12-year-old Elizabeth Aspinell, and her brothers Richard and James, from Hylands Close, were inspired to host the get together in memory of their aunt Lesley who died of Leukaemia in 1969, aged 12.

They managed to raise just over 235 by selling cakes, raffle tickets, and putting on a miniature railway display. The money will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research.

Elizabeth said: “It is a charity very close to our hearts and we want to say thank you for everyone’s help and support to make the event a success.”
