A CLASSICAL concert featuring Imagine Jack and Lauren Headley, in aid of the Mayor's charity, is being held next Friday.

It is the penultimate fund-raiser for Dunmow Mayor Frank Silver before the title is handed to the next mayor.

He said: "I have seen both Imagine Jack and Lauren perform in the past and have been impressed by their professionalism and the variety of songs they perform."

Lauren Headley, from Thaxted, is a student at Helena Romanes School and will be performing a set of show tunes and light-listening numbers. She has played the lead female roles in two pantomimes, Puss in Boots and Sleeping Beauty.

"I have to confess to being nervous as it will be the first time I'll be performing to a big crowd with just me on the stage but I'm really looking forward to it," she said.

As way of celebration of a successful year as mayor, Cllr Silver is pleased to announce that tickets, which cost £10 each, will admit two people.

Tickets are available from Uttlesford District Council offices in Dunmow High Street, and Saffron Building Society, High Street Dunmow. For more details call Dunmow Town Council on 01371 872406.
