Youngsters in Dunmow got the chance to make a special place bloom by planting daffodil bulbs.
The children, from St Mary’s Church Nursery and Dunmow St Mary’s Primary School, spent a day at the church’s Riverbank Project, an important educational resource for the town, last Thursday.
Catherine Mummery, project co-ordinator, said: “The children are all excited their work will help create a wonderful display of spring flowers for visitors to enjoy next year.”
St Mary’s Riverbank is looking for volunteers to help with gardening and conservation tasks. Call Ms Mummery on 01371 859767 or e-mail catherinemummery@ btinternet.com
