A GENEROUS donation of £1000 from Tesco in Great Dunmow was presented to Accuro last month.
Dunmow Town Mayor Cllr Frank Silver handed the cheque to the charity's Kerry Seddon alongside store manager Vicky Hindley.
Cllr Silver said: "The donation was very generous indeed from the store's chairman David Reid.
"I approached him to see if he would like to contribute to the Mayor's Charity Community Fund and I was delighted when he said he would give £1,000 to Accuro, which does such a great job in Dunmow giving respite care to young people with disabilities.
"The charity is using the money to take some of the youngsters for a holiday to Center Parcs in Elvedon this month which will be lovely for them.
"Tesco's has donated £1,000 to the Alexia Wilson Trust which has also been greatly received."
