AFTER a very successful year as the President of the Rotary Club of Dunmow Richard Amott celebrated the hand over to Rotarian David Edwards who takes over as President for the coming year.
Richard Amott's end of year celebrations took place on Thursday (July 5) at the Reed Rooms where more than 80 Rotarians and their wives gathered for dinner. Guest speaker Bill Pirie gave a humorous talk, Frank Warboys recited his latest ode and the evening ended with a sing song around the piano. The very enjoyable evening was organised by David and Sue Edwards.
Mr Edwards, who is a noted retired glass engraver, will be supported by a new team of Rotarians. Simon Roberts will be looking after community service, Ian
Terry, membership, Andrew Filtness, international, and Myles Hammett will take over as secretary. Peter Fox is the new press officer for the club.
