Fire crews were called to an incident in Great Bardfield in the early hours of Saturday morning (June 17) after a blaze broke out in a stable block.
Firefighters from Thaxted and Wethersfield attended the scene, in Braintree Road, when reports came through at 00.24am.
The blaze is believed to have started in a stable block measuring about 10m x 15m.
Crews had extinguished the blaze by 1am, but investigators have recorded the cause of the fire to be unknown.
