Two ambitious Year 13 students at Felsted School have raised the bar after securing top offers for their higher education.
William Alexander, 17, and schoolmate Luke Johnson, 18, will start at the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology and accountancy firm Deloitte’s BrightStart Higher Apprenticeship Programme, respectively, after finishing their exams.
Mick Pitts, head of DT, said Will has been at the forefront of his A-level product design classes, using high-level machining and manufacturing technologies.
He added: “Will has all of the attributes needed to be a very successful design engineer.”
Luke, from Flitch Green, is also looking forward to his new venture, and will now become a qualified accountant within five years.
He said: “I am so happy to have secured my future career at this stage and have really appreciated the support Felsted have provided in preparing me for the tough assessment centre and partner interviews.”
