A car linked to the robber of a Dunmow bank this morning (Thursday) has been burnt out.
Detectives investigating the robbery of a G4S security guard’s box as he delivered it to the HSBC bank in High Street just before 11am believe a blue Volkswagen Golf found on fire nearby in Mill Lane is linked to the crime.
Firefighters were sent to Mill Lane at 10.59am and took 20 minutes to extinguish the fully alight car.
Officers are appealing for witnesses who saw the Volkswagen Golf on the High Street before the robbery to call the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
