AS part of their journey of discovery into medieval times, students from Alec Hunter Humanities College designed and made their own castles.

Using a wide variety of materials, the pupils re-created replicas of real castles or used their imagination to construct their own. The models, alongside written projects, were all created by pupils in their own time as part of a school project on Medieval England.

Over 30 model castles, created by the Year seven pupils, are now on show to the public at Braintree District Museum. The models will remain on show for members of the public to view until June 18.
