A bin store fire in Great Dunmow has sparked a police investigation.
The blaze happened on Harris Green shortly before 9.20pm last night. Two fire crews attended the scene.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels to tackle the fire in a domestic bin store.
Crews arriving at the scene reported that the garage, measuring 3m x 2m, was 100 per cent “well alight”.
The incident was dealt shortly after 10pm but firefighters remained at the scene turning over and damping down to ensure no hotspots remained.
A joint Police and Fire Service investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the incident.
