A GARAGE sale is once again being held in Great Bardfield to raise cash for the After School Club.

Some 60 houses took part in the sale last year and raised 600.

There were be some impressive items for sale, including antiques, china, plants, designer clothes, jewellery, furniture and toys, and visitors can simply enjoy a pleasant afternoon strolling around the village hunting for bargains

Maps with descriptions of items for sale will be available at participating houses - just look out for the red balloons on the day!

The event, which is sponsored by The Bell public house, runs from 12noon on Saturday May 9.

Organiser Mandy Clarke said: "Last year the day was really successful and the village was gridlocked. Hopefully we can get just as many people, if not more, attending again this year."
