THE 501 Band from Dunmow has been approached by an American record company.

Rob Wilson, one of the band's song writers, said: "Betrayal Records from New York sent us an e-mail saying they had heard our songs on the website www.myspace.com/the501band and they are interested in working with us.

"We are extremely excited about this and hope it could lead to greater things."

The 501 Band are playing at Lennons in Dunmow on Saturday, October 28.
