A TEENAGE air cadet has been awarded the 2009 Great Dunmow Air Cadets Flying Scholarship after impressing judges with her flying skills.
Corporal Nicola Forbes, 17, has been an active member of the squadron for three years.
All the applicants undertook a series of tasks, set and judged by an independent panel of aviation experts from Andrewsfield Aviation. They will also be providing the training.
Nicola, a student at Colchester Six Form, impressed the panel with the quality of her responses and, in particular, the skills she showed in the practical flying test. She previously had 1.5 hours air experience flying as an air cadet.
