AIRASIA X operated a special rescue flight from Stansted to Kuala Lumpur yesterday (Thursday), taking home stranded passengers whose flights have been disrupted over the last week due to the airspace closure.
The Airbus A340-300, with its Oakland Raiders livery, took off at 3.30pm bound for the Malaysian capital with 286 passengers on board. The plane is pictured taxiing to the runway.
