Jack Howland presided at the annual meeting of the Afternoon bowls Club. He began by thanking those who prepared the hall each week ready for play. The minutes were read by secretary Glynis Meekins and reports given by treasurer Pat Bradley and captain Dennis Husthwitt.
Reg Frost stood down as vice-captain and his place was taken by Tom Parker. The present committee were returned. The club is running smoothly and had some success in matches during the past year. There is room for a small increase in membership.
