A virtual quiz night, which people can play in their own homes is being run by St Clare Hospice.

The game is set to take place from 7pm-8.30pm on Thursday, April 30 via the video conferencing service, Zoom.

Players can work in household teams, and log on to compete with up to 100 other contestants online.

Entry will cost £3 per person with all proceeds going to support the work of the hospice, which is based in Hastingwood. Their teams are still working around the clock on the front line.

The quiz master for the evening is St Clare’s community fundraiser Dan Bailey, who said: “Just like many other charities, we are beginning to feel the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on our usual fundraising income which relies on events and activities. We hope we can recreate some of that community spirit and pub quiz experience for everyone, from the comfort of your sofa.”
