Great Dunmow Leisure Centre has received a significant £120k investment to revamp its gym facilities.

The community hub in Essex has received ubstantial backing from Uttlesford District Council and now sits under the ownership of Parkwood Leisure estate.

The investment enables members to continue using the leisure centre, which is now equipped with upgraded gear, without any increases to membership fees.

The bulk of the £120k investment was directed towards the revamp of the gym suite.

Members now benefit from LifeFitness equipment, including SL Console treadmills, Performance Air-Bikes, and Olympic Platforms.

The gym's free weights area and functional training zone have been given a makeover, along with improved flooring for a modernised workout environment.

Glen Hall, managing director of Parkwood Leisure, said: "We’re excited to be able to introduce the very latest in fitness technology to members of Great Dunmow Leisure Centre.

"The new equipment lineup is designed to cater to users of all ages and abilities, empowering them to get moving and stay active.

"We take pride in providing a space where the local community can not only exercise but also find a sense of belonging and fulfilment."
