Eighty-five children from Thaxted and surrounding villages had the "best night ever" with a sleepover at Air Hop trampoline park.

The children, aged between four and 14, were all members of 1st Thaxted Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

They spent the night at the Chelmsford trampoline park to enjoy the trampolines, dodgeball courts and the UK's largest air slides.

After three hours of jumping, sliding, playing dodgeball and slam dunking, the children enjoyed pizza before watching a movie on the trampolines and heading to the party rooms for a massive camp out and sleepover.

The next morning they had breakfast in the on-site café, before jumping back on the trampolines.

Leanne Kell, organiser and unit leader, said: "What an experience! We all had so much fun.

"For some of the younger members of Girl Guiding or Scouting this was their first night away from home and they all absolutely loved it.

"Couldn’t have been prouder of how they embraced all the activities, got involved in the action and had the best time.

"We are very active units who love adventure and we have a very full year ahead of fun, learning new skills and challenges. The children all declared it the best night ever!"
