Helen Rollason Cancer Charity will be opening its Hatfield Peverel centre on certain days throughout the year for donations of pre-loved items.

The charity will accept clothing, accessories, toys, books, kitchen and homeware, ornaments, collectables and any other valuable items.

Items should be in new or good condition, and preferably eBay saleable. They cannot take electrical items.

Donations can be dropped off at the charity's Mid Essex Support Centre at The Street, Hatfield Peverel between 9am and midday on the following Saturdays: February 10, March 9, May 11, June 8, July 13 and September 14.

Government figures show that waste from households in the UK was over 27 million tonnes in 2021.

Donations will help reduce waste, benefit the environment and raise funds to support local people living with cancer.
