A Great Dunmow builder has received a prestigious national award.

Aaron Parradine of Wickford Development Co Ltd won in the small builder category at the Pride in the Job 2023 Supreme Awards, organised by the National House Building Council (NHBC).

The competition recognises UK site managers' commitment to building homes of 'outstanding quality'.

Aaron received the prize for his work at Woodlands Park in Great Dunmow.

He was presented with the award on Friday, January 19 at a ceremony at London Hilton on Park Lane.

Steve Wood, CEO at NHBC, said: "These awards play a pivotal role in NHBC’s drive to give consumers confidence in the quality of new-build homes.

"Congratulations to all of the 2023 Pride in the Job Award Supreme winners.

"They are an inspiration and should be very proud of the quality of new homes they are creating."

The award scheme, in its 43rd year, assessed each site manager across six key areas, including consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise, and health and safety.

Runner-up prizes were also awarded for medium and high-rise categories to site managers from across the UK.

The awards are designed to highlight the highest standards in the house-building industry.
