Pets were put through their paces and donned spooky costumes for the Halloween Dog Show at the Gardens of Easton Lodge.
The event took place on Sunday, October 16, and saw dogs compete in a range of categories, including handsomest dog, prettiest bitch, best veteran, best puppy under six month, best dog Halloween costume and more.
Managed by Wendy Paffey of Broxted-based Wendy's Pet Care and her crew, the show saw prizes donated by Burns Natural Pet Food, Butternut Box, Wendy Paffey herself and All Paws Vets.
Visitors were able to meet Essex Police Dogs, as well as volunteers from Support 4 Sight, the RSPB and Essex Wildlife Trust.
It was not just the dogs competing for prizes - as their human owners took part in a competition to guess the weight of the pumpkin, with the joint winners guessing 20 kilos for a 19.8 kilo pumpkin.

Many visitors won pots of jam in the tombola, and The Gardens of Easton Lodge Preservation Trust sold pumpkins, squash and other vegetables grown in the gardens.
There are still pumpkins, squashes and jams left over, which will be on sale at the Farmers Market at Little Easton Manor on the morning of Saturday, October 28.
