Led by class teacher Mrs Rimmell and teaching assistant Mrs Carroll, the children have been focusing on getting to know each other and enjoying their first music lesson.
The first topic they will be exploring is 'What a Wonderful World' - sharing photos from their holidays with each other and finding where they went on maps and globes.

A school spokesperson said: "Our purpose built reception classroom has a role play area, currently set up as an 'ice cream parlour'.
"So far, favourite activities have been dressing up, construction, drawing, playing with vehicles and animals, and joining in with songs, games and listening to stories."
